Nomad Knives is a small knifemaker in north east Victoria. After 15 years of working as a professional Chef and having an obsession with my knives but never finding anything that felt perfect to my hand, I started making his own knives in the search of that perfect fit. After a long journey of self teaching, trial and error and countless hours of testing, Nomad knives was born. I strive to make the best quality knives I possibly can, using the best quality materials I can source both locally and abroad.
Every knife is individually shaped, heat treated, ground and finished by hand, for a truly hand made item.
My knives are made to be used and made to last.

Emerging artist from the Riverland in South Australia, recently becoming a probationary member of the Australian Knife Makers Guild. Started off on youtube late one night watching clips about bonsai techniques and ended up watching stuff about knives. Didn't have the courage to try till one day seeing a beginner knife kit on a web store and went from there. Each blade I try to make better, focusing on the best possible quality I can produce.
Specialising in supplying knives to professional chefs as well as home cooking enthusiasts and collectors. I also make knives for the field to dress/harvest game. My knives are both stock removed and forged to the customers specifications. Occasionally there will be stock on hand to purchase but I also create bespoke orders specific to your requirements. Blacksmithing creates useful and beautiful things for people. The products can be functional or decorative, but always beautiful. For me, being a Blacksmith is personal and a love affair. I create objects from the raw material. Each object has uniqueness to it. They’re organic and flow and the process of forging enhances and shapes my initial design. I love producing an object from metal; the challenge of a design; the fire, smell and noise that creates the object. I love explaining and showing customers how a length of steel is transformed by forge, hammer and anvil into the piece they want to purchase. I get great joy that a piece of me is taken home to be appreciated forever.
